There is no doubt if you have landed here that you already know the importance of capturing your precious family memories; that is why you’re probably here, right? But the debate between whether to hold your dream Newborn shoot in a studio space or at home is tough one for some. Of course, there are Pro’s and Cons to both, however, I can confidently state as a Hampshire photographer and mother that has had their own Newborn Photoshoot experience, I truly believe that a studio photoshoot is the way to go for the majority of us in the UK. Many factors come into play, however, a studio environment is much easier and more relaxed compared to an in-home lifestyle.
In fact these days, you can easily find natural-light studios that have been created to feel like a home away from home, by bringing a lifestyle aesthetic to the space without the worry of getting your actual home photo ready (The last thing on earth you will want to do having just had a baby!). As a modern Newborn Photographer, we love to focus on simple aesthetics and minimal props, focusing on capturing timeless love in a natural way. So bid goodbye to awkward posing, old-fashioned bunting and harsh flashing lights, saying hello instead to cosy home-away-from-home environments you can’t help but adore.
Offering the best space for your family, baby or newborn photoshoot in Hampshire is incredibly important to me, so we can capture your most authentic memories–which can only be done in an environment you feel most relaxed in!
Let’s get into why you should choose a studio photoshoot over an in-home lifestyle shoot.
The beauty of going to a studio that has already been prepared for you means no faff worrying about cleaning your house! Trust me, If you want to have a newborn photoshoot in my Hampshire studio and you have not long given birth, the idea of having to blitz your house is the last thing you will want to do.
You should choose a studio photoshoot, like my photography studio in Hampshire because it is all ready and set up waiting for you – it’s easily accessible for those recovering within limited mobility or post c-section mums, is clean and comfortable and you don’t have to tidy or clean a thing!
The downside to an in-home shoot that we can’t easily get away from is the fact that the lighting may not be up to scratch as it would be within a dedicated studio setting. If you choose a studio photoshoot then your images will look cleaner and more high-quality due to the perfect lighting set-up.
My photography studio in Hampshire was purpose-built as a photography studio for capturing families and babies, so during your newborn photoshoot we capture the best qualities of your newborn in the safest way, so you and your family feel at ease.
Step away from the chaos of your home and join me in my photography studio in Hampshire–a calm and friendly environment for you and your children.
With so much going on at home with the kids running riot, mess appearing everywhere; it is freeing to get out and go somewhere new for a change to escape the pressure and madness. The change in environment can mean your children will be more relaxed, but of course, as your Hampshire photographer, I will be super welcoming and friendly towards you and your children so they feel comfortable very quickly.
As well as this, you will feel at ease knowing there is no spill to quickly clear up, no furniture to move, toys to hide, and the lighting will be just right; meaning you will receive more relaxed and authentic images of you and your family. The more relaxed you are, the better the session is going to be.
As mentioned previously, you should choose a studio that is accessible for you, especially post-birth.
If you’re a wheelchair user or a post c-section mum, then you will want to be able to access the studio with ease and comfort. My photography studio in Hampshire is steps away from the drive on a flat surface and there are no stairs involved, only one step up into the studio (and I can arrange a ramp for this if you need it)!
Finally, you should choose a studio photoshoot simply because they are fun; ok maybe not ‘ha-ha’ fun but an enjoyable experience nonetheless! No judgment here on whether your washing hasn’t been touched in the past week or if the dishes haven’t been cleared from last night’s dinner. You can leave the stress at home and come to my space to relax, smile, chat or simply breathe in a stress-free zone for awhile. You and baby are safe in this space to play and let the giggles commence!
Getting to know your Hampshire photographer is such an important step in the whole decision-making process too, because you need to ensure that you get along with them and that they can help you achieve your vision.
Now you know why you should choose a Newborn Studio Photoshoot Over an In-home Lifestyle shoot, I hope you are ready to take the step in capturing your most precious memories with your family.
Whether you choose to have a family, baby or newborn photoshoot – I’d love to capture it for you!
Love,
Allie xo
