As a Newborn photographer in Hampshire, I specialize in capturing the essence of Newborn's aged 1-6 weeks old in a beautifully natural way. My shoots are family oriented and baby led, so we are not restricted to certain baby poses. If you would prefer to wait until your baby is a little older, the session can be adapted for older babies too (I absolutely adore those "oldborns" between 6-16 weeks!).
You won't want to ever forget these moments, so as your memory keeper, I'm here to tell the beginning of your family's story in the most beautifully natural, elegant way possible. Just as it is today, before they are not so little anymore x

Prompts not posing! During your session I will encourage everyone to bond and relax naturally, giving plenty of gentle prompts and direction as needed to help capture beautiful portraits as well as those real, authentic moments in-between. However pretty quickly all those little nose kisses, embraces and smiles will come naturally, so don’t you worry! between shots of your baby snoozing on the beanbag, cuddles on Mummy's chest, siblings stroking tuffs of hair and Dad's mastering 'the jiggle', you'll soon forget about any nerves you arrived with!

Once your session is over post-production begins! I'll be pouring my heart and soul into your personalised Gallery by selecting the very best images from your newborn photoshoot. Every picture is carefully scrutinized to ensure it is worthy of making the final cut before being hand edited in my signature style.
Your soft-proof gallery will be curated and sent to you in a link via email following your newborn photography session for you to view and choose your final images.
Your chosen final images are then edited to perfection! This part is where the magic truly happens to produce gorgeous, timeless images that you'll cherish for years to come.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
My purpose-built, natural light home studio is located in Hedge End, Southampton, UK.
That’s easy! We will pencil in a date a week after your due date. Once your baby arrives earthside we confirm the exact date at that time 😊 For this reason and to allow maximum flexibility for new mums, I only book 3 newborn sessions a week, so please get in touch as soon as possible if you are considering me for your Newborn photoshoot in Hampshire – I take booking up to 6 months in advance, so between your 12 and 20 weeks scan is perfect.
As a natural style newborn photographer, I am able to capture newborns 1- 6 weeks old. I always encourage you to book for around 7-10 days after your due date, as this is usually the sweet spot of capturing them at their smallest but Mum has had time to heal and adjust post-birth. This is also before reflux issues start to kick-in and your baby will start to become more awake and fussy. However if you would prefer to wait until they are a little older, I can adapt the sessions for older babies too (up to 16 weeks). Please be aware some of the typical poses for newborns we will not be able to do at this stage, as your baby will be more resistant to sleep by this time. Don't let this put your off though, capturing gorgeous pictures of baby awake and even those first smiles is just as precious, so do not hesitate to book in, even if you miss the very early days - every stage is worthy of capturing!

Galleries usually contain a minimum of 50 photos. However please note the amount can vary due to many factors including the type of shoot, number of participants and how your baby and/or little ones settle on the day.
Following your shoot, you’ll receive a link to your soft-proof online gallery. From this you will be able to easily choose your final images. Once final edits have been made, your chosen images will be delivered digitally available for high resolution download. You will also receive your gorgeous prints in the post shortly after.
It will take 2 weeks to deliver your soft-proof gallery. Once you have chosen your package, your final gallery will be delivered 2-3 weeks after that. I put a lot of love and care into editing each image, which is why it'll take me a little bit more time to deliver your final images. If you'd like your photos sooner, please ask me about the rush fee.
Of course, I'd love for you to print your favourite photos! You can easily order photo prints through the store in your online gallery, or a supplier of your choosing once final images have been delivered.
Babies are very unpredictable and things come up! Illness and events outside of our control I completely understand. As long as certain conditions are met as outlined in my contract, I am happy to reschedule any baby shoot without charge once (excluding newborn sessions which i will re-schedule as many times as deemed reasonable).
Of course, I want to ensure you know what you need to bring and what to expect, so your session runs as smooth and stress-free as possible. I will provide you with helpful guides and be on hand to answer any questions you might have in the lead-up to your newborn photoshoot session. Please never hesitate to reach out!
Absolutely! Although the majority of my clients prefer to come to my home studio for many reasons (see the blog if you are undecided which type of newborn shoot is for you!) however, if you have decided I am the photographer for you but can't get to my studio, or you have booked a session but due to ill health are unable to travel to the studio for your session, I do offer an in-home service providing your home meets certain requirements. If you would like this option, please just let me know your location so I can provide you with a custom quote and more information.
My newborn photography studio is based in Southampton, Hampshire, so I often welcome family's from Portsmouth, Winchester, New Forest, Bournemouth and surrounding areas. The house is a few minutes drive off the M27. The studio is a purpose built fully functioning and insulated garden room, located at my home. It is a detached house with a private drive-way for you to park on. Once you arrive I will walk you around the side of the house which leads directly to the garden. There are no stairs, although please be aware there is one step up to enter the studio. This means mothers recovering post-birth (whether c-section or natural) can usually access the studio nice and easily.
