3 Milestones that You Should Capture as a Family
There are so many milestones that happen in your life and the ones that you appreciate the most are your family milestones. Your family are your everything and all of the amazing experiences and moments that take place are fully appreciated, right?
It can be easy to slightly lose sight of some of the moments and memories and being able to look back on them for how they truly were is a blessing, which can be done through family photography that reflects your true love, fun and bond with eachother.
There are 3 milestones that you should capture as a family that as a newborn and family photographer I really advise that you don’t miss out on!

Newborn
A newborn photoshoot in my photography studio in Hampshire is a great way to capture your baby’s first moments in the world. I mean, what is a better milestone to celebrate and capture to remember this?
They’re so tiny – their little features like their nose, ears, fingers and their pouty lips, big eyes and maybe they have an adorable tuft of hair on their head? These are the details you can lose sight of so you should capture this milestone for you to be able to look back on – in high quality.
Another reason why this is a milestone you should capture is the fact that you can share these newborn photos with all of your family and friends! They will certainly appreciate it and is a great way to introduce your baby to them.
You could even print them onto cards or into frames to gift to your family – and for yourself!

First year of life
If you ask me, the idea of your once tiny baby completing their first year in the world is a pretty incredible and significant milestone!
So, with this in mind, capturing them when they turn one is perfect because they have grown so much, their features have changed slightly and their personalities are certainly shining through more than ever.
One is such a fun age because they are much more alert, they’re holding themselves up, they are curious and they have developed a unique personality.
This is a milestone that you should capture simply so you can look back on their facial expressions and personality for how it was at that age. The perfect way to do this is with a cake smash photoshoot!
A cake smash photography session is such a good way for your little one to make a mess and enjoy the taste of the cake. Their personalities truly shine through here whilst they have lots of fun.

Family
A milestone that you should capture without a second thought is your family. A family photoshoot means you’re all together in one photo.
A lot of the time, someone is missing in the photo because they’re the ones taking it. Imagine your children looking back at images and not seeing their mum or dad in the photo.
Some people put off the idea of having a professional family photoshoot because they feel they’re forced and awkward. Don’t let the word professional put you off because my family photoshoots are relaxed, fun and just like you’re with a friend!
I get to know you and your children – I will be your friend, cheerleader and photographer who captures your family in the most authentic way possible. I will encourage you to be yourself and to have fun so you can look back on the images and know these moments were real and not forced.
The beach is a lovely family photoshoot location simply because of the space it gives you, the wonderful backdrop of the sea and sand, the fresh sea air breeze and if you’re lucky enough, golden hour is stunning at the beach!
